In 2000 (1379 in the Persian calendar), Kermanshah Petrochemical Industries Company carried out extensive subscriptions for its shares. Later, the board of directors studied the participation of the government in the company and, given the necessity of establishing a petrochemical industry in the west of the country, the National Petrochemical Company, with the government's permission, agreed to participate in the construction of the ammonia and urea project. The people of Kermanshah welcomed the project given the low-income level in this city, and their purchase of shares showed their interest in the development of industry in the city and their appreciation for the efforts of those who had worked for years to build a petrochemical industry in Kermanshah. After the subscription, the project's executive activities began with the provision of financial resources. The National Petrochemical Company took over the executive responsibility of the project until the commissioning and operation stage and purchased 38.5% of the company's shares to have an active presence in the company.
